Description Karl Lattimer 2004-05-14 21:32:11 UTC
Description of Problem:
At the moment you can't open root write protected
files in gnome.

Fix?
It would be nice if when I tried to open a file
with gedit for instance through nautilus and I
didn't have write access it would prompt me for
the lowest user which can read/write to that file
i.e. operator on some files. Then store these
credentials in the notification area. Also if i
already have my keys dangling there i can write to
it anyway (maybe after a short acknowledgment "you
can write this!" -> OK)
