GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 142235
[PATCH] Keyboard shortcut description nits
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Per bug 99529 (the keyboard shortcut dialog ui review), a couple changes should happen to the metacity schemas file. The ui review wants consistent naming for "move a window"/"move the window". Metacity seems to be moving towards simply "move window". So that change happens where it hasn't yet. Also, the run dialog should be referred to as the run application dialog.

Comment on attachment 27521 [details] [review] Proposed patch OK to commit this patch once we branch, thanks.
Hmm... 'a' seems to make things ambiguous. Wouldn't s/a/the focused/, or s/a/the active/ be better? (e.g. "Close the active window").
Right, that's one reason for the change. We are moving from "Close a window" to "Close window."
Oops, sorry. Read the patch backwards somehow. :-}
I'd like to note that I don't yet have cvs write permission. So, if you could commit this when it becomes possible, I'd be grateful.
I committed it for you, thanks.
