GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 141265
Guide deletion failures
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Description of Problem: Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Install Gimp 2.0.0 on Windows XP 2. Drag a guide from the ruler bar (either ruler). 3. Drag the guide back over the user bar or out of the window. Actual Results: The guide remains intact and located exactly where it was before you tried to get rid of it. Expected Results: I expected the guide to be disappeared, deleted, gone, wiped out, stepped off this mortal coil, etc. :) How often does this happen? All the time, every time. Additional Information: If you have the drawing window a little too large or shifted so that you can see area outside of the current picture, you can drag the guide to that area and successfully get rid of it that way. However, this doesn't work very well if you use lots of closely spaced guides and do most of your work deeply zoomed in to the drawing (ahem).
This is a duplicate of bug 137692 (easily found when searching for "guides" in bugzilla, btw :)

Sorry about the dup, the initial topic search for "User Interface" bugs came up with zarro boogs. Perhaps I should have tried a keyword search, but if there were no "User Interface" bugs found, I didn't expect to find anything with a more specific search...
