1st Dot Speech Does Not Announce

Very 1st Dot Does Not Announce 1. open terminal window 2. at terminal, hit space bar 3. hit "." 4. Listen for speech (no speech) 5. then hit another "." 6. Listen for speech (2nd dot speech will announce) Dot should be announced all the time, regardless of sequences.

When I apply my propsoed patch for bug #141148 I see <SRSOUT priority="2" preempt="true"><TEXT voice="system">switch to window</TEXT><TEXT voice="name">Terminal</TEXT></SRSOUT> <SRSOUT priority="0" preempt="true"><TEXT voice="role">Terminal</TEXT></SRSOUT> <SRSOUT priority="1" preempt="true"><TEXT voice="system">anymachine:/export/home/padraigo/HEAD/vte 1 % </TEXT></SRSOUT> <SRSOUT priority="0" preempt="true"><TEXT voice="system">Dot</TEXT></SRSOUT> <SRSOUT priority="0" preempt="true"><TEXT voice="system">Dot</TEXT></SRSOUT> I think that this bug can be closed a a duplicate of bug #141148.
I checked Padraig's proposed patch for bug #141148 and it seems that the problem with the first dot dissapears. I will close this bug as a duplicate of bug #141148.
