GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 141141
Standard fonts on Windows raise errors
Last modified: 2004-04-26 14:35:00 UTC
When I try to select fonts using the "Text Options" dialog, several Windows fonts cause errors such as that shown below to appear: ** (gimp-2.0.exe:1144): WARNING **: Unable to load unicode charmap from font fil e C:\WINNT\fonts\OUTLOOK.TTF ** (gimp-2.0.exe:1144): WARNING **: Unable to open font file C:\WINNT\fonts\OUTL OOK.TTF for font MS Outlook 16, falling back to C:\WINNT\fonts\olvr55w.ttf ** (gimp-2.0.exe:1144): WARNING **: Unable to load unicode charmap from font fil e C:\WINNT\fonts\symps__.ttf ** (gimp-2.0.exe:1144): WARNING **: Unable to open font file C:\WINNT\fonts\symp s__.ttf for font SymbolPS 16, falling back to C:\WINNT\fonts\olvr55w.ttf These appeared on a relatively fresh Windows 2000 SP4, with no fonts addes except those installed by MS Office. It's somewhat annoying, too, that dismissing the window in which these error message appear causes the GIMP to uncermeniously terminate.
Your pango library is too old, this problem has been fixed in newer versions. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 101856 ***
