1. Enter any menu
2. Find an underlined letter
3. Try to assign that single letter to a selection - it won't work, it jumps to 
the item that contains the underlined letter

I think the underlined letters in the menus are called accelerators (?). An 
option to disable them should be added to allow for reassignment of single keys.
