Description Mihail Georgiev 2004-04-16 21:56:17 UTC
Description of Problem: Whenever I use
gnome-terminal with the background transparency
feature, and I don't have a desktop background
image (only the default Gnome 2.6 background
color), the gnome terminal application starts to
run really slow. This only happens when the
background is set to one color, not a gradient.
I'm not sure why.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Use the default desktop background color in
gnome without a background picture.
2. start gnome-terminal and turn on transparent
background
3. N/A

Actual Results: the terminal application begins to
run extemely slowly.

Expected Results: It should work at the same speed
as it does when there is a background picture.

How often does this happen? Every time i set the
desktop background to the default color-only and I
run the terminal.

Additional Information: This could have been a
problem in previous versions, but before 2.6 the
default background was a gradient, not a solid color.
