GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 139998
Multiple keybindings not allowed for same function
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
You should be able to select multiple shorcuts for the same function. This is especially a problem when you want to map the Start key on the keyboard to the Gnome application menu because there are two Start keys, and you can only map one since it distinguishes between left and right. We should be able to select an arbitrary number of keybindings for each function (if done right), or at least 3.
Not sure I got this but I'll confirm it as a feature request and let the maintainer ask you to clarify if needed :)
To clarify, I should be able to choose 3 keys (or more) that do the same thing. This would especially be handy for the left and right Start keys on the keyboard, which cannot be used together for keybindings.
This bug is actually a symptom of the problem described in bug 144477.
