Description c.j.n.breame 2004-04-08 21:11:08 UTC
When you have grouped windows, there is no way of telling, without clicking on
the item, that the item contains grouped windows.

It would be good if there was a visual indication that an item represents
grouped windows.
Comment 1 Srinivasa Ragavan 2004-04-13 03:49:34 UTC
I can see a visual indication already in grouped windows. The number of windows
in a group are displayed with in brackets. This is not there for single windows.

Do we need some more beyond this?
Comment 2 Luis Villa 2004-04-13 04:06:50 UTC
There is also a small 'grip' in the upper right hand corner of the window-
admittedly that could be stronger.
Comment 3 Srinivasa Ragavan 2004-04-13 04:20:44 UTC
Ya, i just now realized that too. But in my Industrial theme, only after you
said that therez a grip, i could see that at all ;-)
Comment 4 Kjartan Maraas 2004-04-18 19:36:04 UTC
Is this theme related then? Or should the default be made more "in-your-face"?
Comment 5 c.j.n.breame 2004-04-18 20:06:31 UTC
Ah yes the gripper - only realised what you were referring to after I magnified
the image.

Perhaps the icons could be stacked as such:

Comment 6 Srinivasa Ragavan 2004-04-19 03:59:48 UTC
I feel than in the default theme itself, the grip is hardly visible, unless one
knows about the grip, he cant see it. It should be made slightly dark, to be
more visible.
Comment 7 Vincent Noel 2005-01-28 14:52:30 UTC
Moving to the right component. Sorry for the spam.
Comment 8 Cees Timmerman 2006-11-17 13:56:37 UTC
The URL of comment 5 404s.

A black grip would be visible, but still too tiny to stand out.
How about making the font bold, or putting a bold group count before the icon?

	* libwnck/tasklist.c: (draw_dot): killed
	(wnck_task_expose): don't draw small dots that people don't see, but
	use gtk_paint_tab()
