GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 139521
A pdf file created by openoffice doesn't open
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Description of Problem: I have a pdf file created from openoffice that gpdf cannot open. The reality is that it takes 90% of the CPU and never opens it. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open the pdf file that I'm going to attach 2. 3. Actual Results: The CPU goes 90+% and it never opens the file Expected Results: The file is opened quickly ;-) How often does this happen? Always Additional Information: This is under Fedora Core 2 test 2 (gnome 2.6) The process that gets stalled is gnome-pdf-viewer and I have to kill it manually.
Created attachment 26487 [details] PDF file that gpdf cannot open This file was copied from epiphany to openoffice and then exported as a pdf
Wow, a combination of bug 129400 (freetype eexec bug) and gpdf's problem with OpenOffice.org files. i.e. To make it not hang, read bug 129400. But then you'll see only squares as glyphs.
Should be fixed in CVS HEAD now. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 148362 ***
