GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 139462
XKB configuration broken on X.org X server
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
I just switched from XFree86 to the X.org X server, and now i get a dialog on startup: Error activating XKB configuration. Probably internal X server problem. X server version data: The X.Org Foundation 60700000 If you report this situation as a bug, please include: - The result of xprop -root | grep XKB - The result of gconftool-2 -R /desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/xkb xprop -root | grep XKB: _XKB_RULES_NAMES_BACKUP(STRING) = "xorg", "pc104", "us", "", "" _XKB_RULES_NAMES(STRING) = "xorg", "pc104", "us", "", "" gconftool-2 -R /desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/xkb: layouts = [us,de deadgraveacute] model = pc105 overrideSettings = false options = [ctrl ctrl:nocaps, grp grp:alt_shift_toggle] Setting the keymap with setxkbmap works, so XKB itself is working.
