Description Arcterex 2004-04-07 15:53:12 UTC
According to a reply from gnome-desktop-devel, section 7.8.2 of the nautilus documentation describes
how version 2.4 worked, not 2.6. In particular the sections about the NFS object and the 'Add Network
Place' object simply don't exist in the newest nautilus, and this causes user confusion and frustration
when trying to learn about the new file manager.

Thanks. We've got a rewrite of the docs underway. We'll add this....
Comment 3 Christian Neumair 2004-10-20 16:36:27 UTC
Nautilus 2.8 seems to be a lot better in this respect. Is it still an issue?
Comment 4 Matthew Gatto 2004-11-06 06:08:18 UTC
It still seems to be out of date on 2.8.

In Section 7.8.2.1, it talks about [ Places -> Computer -> 'Add Network Place'
object ] which doesn't seem to exist anymore. Section 7.8.3 doesn't seem to be
applicable anymore either.
