Description of the crash:
The panel crashes with a segfault whenever I left-click on the Main Menu
icon.

Steps to reproduce the crash:
1. Login
2. Left-click on main menu icon
3. Crash (segfault) dialog & panel restarts

Expected Results:
Main menu should appear.

How often does this happen?
System has been fine for months; this problem started yesterday. 
Logging out & back in doesn't help

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. It looks like it may be a
duplicate of bug #136011.
 
Can you remove (or move) ~/.recently-used and see if the crash is still here?

Yes, looks like same as bug #136011.

I tracked it down to an entry in .recently-used; removing the entry or the file
prevented the crash.  I filed that under bug #139319.
