Description Josh Lee 2004-03-28 15:03:12 UTC
If a panel is not set to expand to the whole side
of the screen, it is given an offset from the left
side of the screen. I want my panel to stick to
the right side of the screen, but the current
system does not do this reliably. The window list
applet, which expands and shrinks often, causes
the panel to come off the right side.

1. Un-expand the panel.
2. Stick it to the right side.
3. Add a window list applet.
4. The panel comes off.

What version is this?
Comment 2 Josh Lee 2004-04-15 21:43:54 UTC
Version 2.4.2.

I may have been unclear in my report. The way it works now is you give the panel
an offset from the *left* side of the screen. This is fine until the panel
shrinks and comes off.

Uggh, maybe we want a "right_stick" property for panels like we do for panel
objects.
Comment 4 Josh Lee 2004-04-26 19:10:56 UTC
This could work like the -geometry for xterm. If the offset given is *negative*,
then we interpret it as a right-stick. Or am I missing something?

I think what we want is something like what's proposed in bug #107622.
