Description Vincent Untz 2004-03-27 15:30:53 UTC
(I'm not sure that's the right product to log this bug, but I haven't found a
product for the a11y doc)

In http://www.gnome.org/learn/access-guide/latest/dtconfig-11.html#dtconfig-14,
I think the Table 2.2 ("Numeric Keypad to Mouse Functions Mapping on Linux
Systems") is not correct.

It says:

Numeric Keypad Keys Function
1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9 Move the mouse pointer around the screen
5 Mouse button click
+ Mouse button double-click
0 Mouse button 3

I have something that looks more like what's in table 2.1 (same table, but for
Solaris). The most important stuff that is missing is the role of keys "/", "*"
and "-".

I can't get any of the button keys to work other than 5 for a click.
Is there a bug with the app as well as the docs?
Could the app maintainers confirm what is supposed to happen?
Comment 2 Joachim Noreiko 2006-02-06 20:29:45 UTC
Having played with my system (Ubuntu) and watched what the panel indicator does, it looks like this:
The / * - keys set the current mouse button, L M R
5 presses the current mouse button
0 press-and-holds the current mouse button (you have to hit 5 to release it, which is a bit awkward).

This bug may be made obsolete by the fixes in Bug 326985.

Confirming. This is indeed fixed by the fixes in bug #326985, so I'm going to make this a dependant.
Comment 4 Don Scorgie 2006-08-18 10:48:00 UTC
Patches from bug #326985 have all been committed. The table is now correct (or at least, it is for me). If there is still a problem, please reopen the bug. Thanks.
