Description Gary Marshall 2004-03-26 11:37:16 UTC
I installed the GIMP using Jernej Simoncic's installers. I first installed GTK+
2 version 2.2.4-20040124 and then GIMP for Windows version 2.0.0.

Everything is fine, until after the slash screen has said "Fonts" for a while,
it has an Access Violation (The instruction at "0x78001d0b" referenced memory at
"0x00000000". The memory could not be "read".)

On the console it says:
(gimp-2.0.exe:684): GLib-CRITICAL **: file gconvert.c: line 498 (g_convert):
assertion `str != NULL' failed
Comment 1 Gary Marshall 2004-03-26 11:42:10 UTC
Given that it's failing in gconvert, it might be useful to know that I'm using
the "English (South African)" locale. Although changing my locale to "English
(United States)" doesn't seem to make any difference.
