Description Kristof Vansant 2004-03-25 08:24:37 UTC
What is the use of the ability the select more then one object if the only thing
you can do with them all at once is delete and copy/paste.

You should be able to resize one object and the other selected objects should
folow the resize.

maybe at a locked option for an object so you can say I don't want this object
to be resized when it is selected with others.

This will make working with dia a lot faster ;)

changing the common properties of selected objects would be nice to.

for example make all selected font: bold and fillcolor: blue

It's a well-known problem that you can't resize multiple objects; it stems from
the fact that not all objects resize linearly.

For setting properties on multiple objects, you currently have to group them
first, and unfortunately, you set *all* properties to be the same, not always
what you want.

The other main uses of selection are moving objects around (and back and forth)
and aligning.
