I get a warning like this:

gst-launch filesrc location=song.mp3 ! spider ! audioconvert ! audioscale !
volume ! osssink
KÖR pipeline...
 
** (process:911): WARNING **: couldn't set the right sample rate (wanted
1000, got 8000), enjoy the speed difference

The warning goes away when volume is removed.
