Description Roger So 2004-03-22 08:02:22 UTC
It would be terrific if the next version of Pango has support for the
traditional Mongolian script. Traditioan Mongolian script occupies the
Unicode range U+1800 - U+18A9, and is a complex script requiring character
shaping. Also the script runs vertically from top-to-bottom, left-to-right.

We are kinda working on the top-to-bottom stuff in Pango, but for the shaper, someone familiar with the script has got to write a Pango module for that.
Comment 2 Behdad Esfahbod 2009-01-03 00:04:17 UTC
The vertical support is already there. Closing this bug until someone familiar with Mongolian actually writes a module for it.
