Description Daniel 2004-03-20 09:51:29 UTC
Hi

I think the drag & drop in the app is pretty bad. Since you have to hold
the mouse where you want to drop the file until it's extracted. This could
be pretty frustating if it's a large archive. It should be the other way
around. First drop then extract.

Thank you for taking your time

/Daniel
Comment 1 Paolo Bacchilega 2004-04-02 13:31:35 UTC
this cannot be fixed due to the way drag and drop works in gtk+.
Comment 2 Marc O'Morain 2004-04-07 13:58:57 UTC
Would it be possible to extract the archive to /tmp on opening a file, and on
DnD copy these files to the correct location?
Comment 3 Jeremy Brown 2004-07-13 20:13:37 UTC
Maybe this is an indication that gtk+ needs to change its support for
drag-and-drop? I mean c'mon, having to hold the mouse down while file-roller
extracts is pretty unacceptable UI.

This bug is a duplicate of bug 102501 (read the entire bugreport, not just the
