GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 137516
Documents directory should be a default bookmark
Last modified: 2005-06-10 17:17:12 UTC
If the Documents directory (and perhaps others, Photos, Music etc.?) exist when the new File Selector is run for the first time, it could be added as a default bookmark. (Documents, especially -- I think others are probably debatable.) They could perhaps be added as a "system" bookmark above the divider, rather than a "user" bookmark below the divider, if they exist. This probably needs to be internationalized, too -- how does this work for the Desktop directory?
It would be nice to have CD Creator appear automatically too, if gnome-vfs2 is installed, and a blank CD is in the drive. Not sure of the mechanics of how this would work exactly, but it would be nice to be able to save straight to "burn:///". It would also be nice if Nautilus opens, viewing "burn:///", if you save something to this URI, so that you can immediately select the "Write Files to CD" option -- but maybe this is asking too much :)
Please file the burn:// thing under libgnomeui/file-chooser, as that's VFS stuff.
Mass changing gtk+ bugs with target milestone of 2.4.2 to target 2.4.4, as Matthias said he was trying to do himself on IRC and was asking for help with. If you see this message, it means I was successful at fixing the borken-ness in bugzilla :) Sorry for the spam; just query on this message and delete all emails you get with this message, since there will probably be a lot.
