GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 13737
Sound events behaviour.
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Package: control-center Severity: normal Version: 1.2.0 Synopsis: Sound events behaviour. Class: change-request Distribution: Slackware 7.0.0 System: Linux 2.2.15 i586 unknown C library: glibc-2.1.2 C compiler: 2.95.2 glib: 1.2.8 GTK+: 1.2.8 ORBit: ORBit 0.5.1 gnome-libs: gnome-libs 1.2.1 libxml: 1.8.7 gnome-print: gnome-print-0.9 gnome-core: gnome-core 1.2.1 Description: I would like to see a "NONE" option for sounds in the sound events tabs. Currently, I am forced to create a 0 length file called "none.wav" and tell the control panel to use those for sounds. (I also tried linking to /dev/null, but that just killed esd(!)). I could disable sound events, but some events I want to have sounds for. The current black/white approach to sound selection is limiting. Please add an option to have "no sound" for an event. -- www.kuro5hin.org -- more than a state of mind. ------- Bug moved to this database by debbugs-export@bugzilla.gnome.org 2001-01-27 16:28 ------- This bug was previously known as bug 13737 at http://bugs.gnome.org/ http://bugs.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13737 Originally filed under the control-center product and general component.
