Hi,

I do File -> Open
The file chooser popup opens
I click on automatic
A popup opens with the extension chooser

The "automatic" word is in the middle of the popup
The half upper windows is black
The half lower windows contains the extension that can be choosen

Hi Jean Luc,

This behaviour is forced by GTK+, and the GTK+ maintainer considers it
correct. In short, the dropdown box is positioned so that the active
option is beside the mouse, and the "extra" bits at the top are
intended to show that the whole list is not currently displayed.

This bug is a duplicate of bug #129463
