GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 136230
Remove "Use this editor to open text files in the file manager" option
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
The spatial Nautilus opens text files in their associated application, instead of showing them inside Nautilus. This change has made the option "Use this editor to open text files in the file manager" in the Preferred Applications dialog superfluous. This option has no effect anymore and can be removed.
Created attachment 29408 [details] [review] Removed "Use this editor to open text files in the file manager" option Removed from glade file, a function and callbacks.
Actually, with the new mime system in nautilus, it's the whole "Text Editor" tab that should be removed (you can now select the default application for any mime type in nautilus, including text files)
Bug 155612 is about killing it completely.
No reason having two bugs open about it; I'm marking this one a duplicate. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 155612 ***
