GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 135579
Add support for Copying to "clipboard" in addition to "primary"
Last modified: 2012-03-31 19:00:52 UTC
Package: gtkhtml2 Severity: normal Version: 2.4.0 Synopsis: Add support for Copying to "clipboard" in addition to "primary" Bugzilla-Product: gtkhtml2 Bugzilla-Component: General Description: It is already possible to select text in the gtkhtml window and then do a "middle button" click on another window (say, the terminal) to paste the current selection. In some cases (when using touchpad mouses in laptops for example) this is not easy accomplished, so having a popup menu with a copy option in it when right-clicking on the window (just like in the text widget for example) would be great. It would also be good to also respond to the system default copy keyboard binding keys. Apologies if this is already implemented - I am using gtkhtml2 2.4.0, fedora core 1. Thanks! ------- Bug moved to this database by unknown@bugzilla.gnome.org 2004-02-27 05:08 ------- The original reporter (rubensr@users.sourceforge.net) of this bug does not have an account here. I've hit this bug too. It's very annoying to have to middle-click to paste when Ctrl+V is the standard for this.
According to its developer, gtkhtml2 is not under active development anymore. It is unlikely that there will be any further active development. Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping - Please feel free to reopen this bug report in the future if anyone takes the responsibility for active development again.
