Description Jerome Haltom 2004-02-22 18:39:12 UTC
Nautilus Should name "Open..." "Run..." when the operation is being done on
an executable file. Also a "Run as..." option would be helpful. This option
should prompt for a username and password to run the selected application
as. This option might be better hid behind a modifier key, so that user's
who don't know what they are doing don't assume that it's a "safe" operation.

Thanks for your bug report!
This enhancement sounds like a great idea!

What is the use case for this? This doesn't seem like it is going to work well in practice from either a technical or user experience point of view. Any non-trival app won't be able to connect to the resources it would need to operate.
