Rhythmbox crashes when trying to listen to radio

Since the Gnome switch over to the new mime-type system (based on Freedesktop shared-mime-info), Rhythmbox has crashed every time I try to listen to iRadio. I'm not sure if this is a Rhythmbox or GStreamer issue, but it manifests itself when I run Rhythmbox. I am running Gnome 2.5.x built from CVS HEAD using JHBUILD on 2/20/04. I last built gstreamer, gst-plugins, and rhythmbox from CVS on 2/21/04. This problem has occurred for several weeks but I'm just getting around to reporting it. The only debug info I have is the console log of a session in which rhythmbox died. Looks like a GStreamer installation issue. Try removing your installed gstreamer tree and reinstalling. Also, did you run gst-register-0.7?
I wiped out my entire Gnome 2.6 installation and rebuilt it from scratch about a week ago. The problem was present before and after the full re-install. After I rebuilt gstreamer/gst-plugins on 2/21, I re-registered the plugins with gst-register-0.7. I will do a fresh JHBUILD this afternoon (deleting the gstreamer and gst-plugins source trees first) and let you know if the problem resolves itself.
Note: I have been running Rhythmbox CVS with GStreamer CVS since late October 2003. Everything worked pretty smoothly until this problem occurred.
I am closing this bug. I discussed this issue with the gstreamer maintainers (see bug 136296) and they made some changes to gstreamer to ameliorate the problem. Thanks.
