Description Jeroen Hoek 2004-02-16 20:48:57 UTC
Setting:
X session configured with Nvidia twinview. One desktop, two monitors. The
left monitor does 800x768 (pans up and down) and the right monitor
1024x768. The whole desktop is 1824x768. Windows maximize properly on
either the left or the right screen.

Bug:
When opening an image in EOG, the EOG window opens a window much larger
then the desktop it is opened from if it is a larger image like a
wallpaper. In the case of such a large image it also draws a grey border
around the image, i.e. it doesn't fill the EOG window.

This does not happen when running a X session on just one monitor.

This behaviour is present at least from Gnome 2.4.1 to 2.5.4.

I am not definitely sure that this bug has the same source of a
problem than bug #137137. However, it would be nice if you could test
the patch proposed there, and see if it fix your problem. It's quite
likely that it does. Thanks.
