Description bkujala 2004-02-12 21:23:56 UTC
Package: nautilus
Severity: normal
Version: 2.2.1
Synopsis: Nautilus Segfaults when browsing M$ Peer-to-peer network
Bugzilla-Product: nautilus
Bugzilla-Component: Component Frameworks
BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.2.0.1)

Description:
Description of Problem:
The program segfaults after probably 20 minutes or so when browsing a M$
peer-to-peer network. The workgroup disappears and if you try to go to
a specific machine that is when the segfault happens. I would think
that this has something to do with the samba client. After it Segfaults
you are able to go back into Nautilus and start browsing the M$ network
again immediately.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Using Redhat 9 go to the "Network Servers" icon on the Main Menu
2. Close the natilus box that pops up
3. Wait approximately 20 mins
4. Go back to the main menu and access the "Network Servers" icon again
5. If the M$ workgroup name has disappeared continue, otherwise wait
longer
6. Try to access a M$ machine directly i.e. smb://BillsBox/Shared
Documents/
7. Wait awhile for Nautilus to "think" it will eventually segfault.

How often does this happen?
This happens everytime I use nautilus in this manner.
