Description of Problem:

every so often, i get all the open windows appear
on a single workspace, regardless of which they
are on, and whether they are minimised or not.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. open some windows on workspace one
2. go to workspace two and minimise something
3. when all the windows appear on one workspace,
click on one that should not be visable.

Actual Results:

metacity crashes

Expected Results:

doesn't happen in the 1st place

How often does this happen? 

once in a while, its hard to pin down the exact
sequence that sets it off.

Additional Information:

gnome 2.4, fedora core 1 + all updates from
freshrpms/DAG (stable only).
