GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 133854
muine seems to have problems with some mp3-format
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
If I add a folder to the library then some of my mp3's are not added to the library. All of them are coded with the same codec (musicmatch (windows-software)), all of them have id3tags, all of them have the same permissions and all of them are in the same subfolder. All of the them have the same naming scheme, and none of them have strange (non-ASCII) signs in their names....
/edit... I cannot add a testcase as all my mp3's are copyright protected... but maybe you can mail me... (? I don't know how I could provide a test case in another way...) Next thing I want to add is that the mp3's play on every other player (that I know off) without any problems (linux : xmms, mp3blaster ; windows : winamp, musicmatch, coolplayer, cooledit, ... ) the only program that I have noticed any problems was with rhythmbox@linux (rhythmbox did add the songs to the library but it didn't want to play them...)
Created attachment 24220 [details] file properties of the mp3-file under rhythmbox
Created attachment 24221 [details] error given by rhythmbox when trying to play a mp3-file
2004-04-02 Jorn Baayen <jbaayen@gnome.org> * libmuine/id3-vfs/mp3bitrate.c: (mpg123_parse_xing_header): Port xing header parsing fixes from Rhythmbox. Perhaps this fixed this bug too. Could you give it a try once this change has made its way into anon cvs? (Can take up to 24h)
