Description Chris Baker 2004-02-08 18:48:29 UTC
gnome-pilot v.2.0.10

I get the following error message when attempting to hotsync/backup my Palm
TungstenE:

Application "gpilotd" (process 11732) has crashed
due to a fatal error.
(Segmentation fault)

This occurs part way through the backup process.

The TungstenE reports that the connection was lost during backup.

The TungstenE is automatically recognised, and after I symlinked it to
/dev/pilot, gnome-pilot was able to communicate correctly etc.

I have tried different connection speeds (USB only, as this is all the
TungstenE has), and still get the same error.

It looks like it occurs on the same file each time: Synchronizing ImgFile-Foto.

I don't get this problem when hotsyncing on Win2000, any service pack version.

Thanks for the bug report. Without a stack trace from the crash it's
very hard to determine what caused the crash. Please see
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/getting-traces.cgi for more information
about getting a useful stack trace.
