GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 133510
ability to change default desktop folder
Last modified: 2008-05-05 23:54:38 UTC
Possibility of change Default Desktop Folder (actually in ~/Desktop) to another, to increasy accessibility (by preferences or variable).
Doesn't seem to be a duplicate (from my searching). Setting this bug as a blocker of bug 113640. Removing a bunch of Keywords which do not belong in there.
*** Bug 348724 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Closing as Obsolete; Nautilus uses the FreeDesktop.org Base Directory specification, which allows the user to change the Desktop directory to any directory they wish. We also have a preference that allows the user to use their home directory as the desktop. Hard to see how this could still be relevant, but if it is, please reopen.
