Possibility of change Default Desktop Folder (actually in ~/Desktop) to
another, to increasy accessibility (by preferences or variable).

Doesn't seem to be a duplicate (from my searching). Setting this bug
as a blocker of bug 113640. Removing a bunch of Keywords which do not
belong in there.

Closing as Obsolete; Nautilus uses the FreeDesktop.org Base Directory specification, which allows the user to change the Desktop directory to any directory they wish. We also have a preference that allows the user to use their home directory as the desktop. Hard to see how this could still be relevant, but if it is, please reopen.
