Distribution: Debian testing/unstable Package: gnome-terminal Severity: normal Version: 2.4.2 Synopsis: Gnome-terminal crashed while copying files on mc Bugzilla-Product: gnome-terminal Bugzilla-Component: general Bugzilla-Version: 2.4.2 BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.4.0.1) Description: Description of the crash: Gnome-terminal blowed up while copying files in mc to a new created folder (created with mc). Steps to reproduce the crash: 1. Create folder on an mc panel, and open it. 2. copy files from the other mc panel to the one with the open folder 3. gnome-terminal window title changes to some weird characters and bang! Expected Results: mc finishing the copy process How often does this happen? Some times, always using mc. Specially prone to it when using filenames and directory names in exotic encodings (JIS and the like). Additional Information: Debian unstable (sid) with gnome 2.4.x packages (gnome-terminal 2.4.2). mc 4.6.1-pre1 from debian sid. Working on an Spanish (es_ES@euro) environment.
