GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 131594
Remove GTK_STOCK_CONVERT from Insert menu item and Insert button
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
The HIG recommends not to use stock icons for anything other than their intended purpose, as this will make the application inconsistent with others, and could easily confuse users. Consequently, remove the GTK_STOCK_CONVERT stock icon from the Insert menu item and the Insert button. Version: 4.3.38
Good point, I guess it probably should be removed. Another reason for this guideline is that a different icon theme may have chosen a different metaphor for the same icon, at which point non-specific uses of it may be somewhat baffling for the user :)
Created attachment 23454 [details] Fix for the problem.
Changes checked into CVS HEAD. Fixed in v4.3.39 of gcalctool.
