Tracking of actual project time and correlation with planning
Comment 1 Bernhard Rohrer 2004-01-08 11:50:54 UTC
maybe this can be integrated with GnoTime? They seem to come to the
same problem from the other direction ...
Comment 2 Miguel Angel 2004-08-26 16:45:20 UTC
I'm sure a project tracking bar would be very useful.
Comment 3 Richard Hult 2004-08-26 17:35:40 UTC
What is a tracking bar?
Comment 4 Miguel Angel 2005-02-05 12:20:31 UTC
sorry... Spanish "false-friends" words.

I meant that I'm sure a project tracking _line_ would be very useful.

Let's see an example.

I think I'm going to spend 5 days working in a job A. But I need only 4 days. If
a job B depends on job A, and I modify the time-line, I'll never see how much
time I've won respect to my initial estimation.

There are more questions about it, because if the project had been set to
"finish date", all dates till the date change, and it is not the true way we
were doing things.

Do you understand me? I don't know if I explained myself. I haven't used my
English since some time ago.

Thank you!

I would like the project tracking feature in planner too so i'm working on it.
The result is in the screenshot. I added to two fields in each task (real
start/finish time) and draw yellow bars under blue bars. Yellow bars represent
real durations spent on tasks.
Because i added two fields, the xml format's not compatible with ealier formats
:(
Any comments on this?

Sad only a screenshot was attached and not a patch...
