Description Rob Adams 2004-01-07 23:23:42 UTC
Holsing down shift while keyboard resizing causes strange and bizarre
things to happen. It seems to sort of try to snap to edges in some cases,
but other times it just does inexplicable things, such as with
gnome-terminal (or likely any resize-increment window).

This is just the same old "constraints.c is broken"
Comment 2 Christian Neumair 2004-08-15 21:31:32 UTC
Still seems to be an issue.

Isn't this a duplicate of a bug filed named "Jerky movement/resize" or something
like that?
Comment 4 Elijah Newren 2005-01-04 00:52:10 UTC
Looking at bug 155458, it looks similar to any of these:

122670 keyboard resize hold-down-arrow results in jumps
124582 shift-arrow keyboard movement operates in two directions instead of one
154706 bouncing weirdness at screen edge with keyboard move or resize

(and a few others that aren't related to holding shift down). 124582 looks the
closest, but I'm not sure whether that was all the weirdness Rob was talking
about...

Ray has a patch so I'll mark as a duplicate of his bug.
