Description david gowers 2003-12-28 12:52:02 UTC
roughly, a menu for changing context properties:
Context ->
  Next brush
  Prev brush
  Next brushsize
  Prev brushsize
  Next palette color
  Prev palette color
  Next gradient
  Prev gradient
  Next pattern
  Prev pattern

which would partially resolve the enhancement request of a brush size modifying interface. Also would resolve the bug of an inability to quickly switch to next/prev palette color which i am about to report.
from my initial examination, i might be able to make a patch adding this menu.

i'm having difficulty getting my browser to cooperate with bugzilla, which is why i omitted bug numbers above.

What about using the scroll-wheel on the brush/pattern/gradient buttons?
Comment 2 david gowers 2003-12-28 15:07:35 UTC
is that a documented existing behaviour, or are you suggesting an appropriate behaviour? it seems an effective solution, except that some functions might preferably have quicker access [brush resizing, cycling through palette colors]
Comment 3 Sven Neumann 2003-12-28 15:12:27 UTC
So far it's only documented in the ChangeLog.

This is now in CVS but the menu is supposed to be removed as soon as we have a
working shortcut editor and a way to configure the newly introduced controllers.
