Description jmccorm 2003-12-27 19:57:45 UTC
Description of Problem:
Under quick mouse movement, auto-hide does not
always work correctly. The menu appears but then
never hides itself. I had this behavior under
Solaris with the Ximian desktop. Now again that
I've installed Mandrake 9.2 on my x86 box.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. If there is an auto-hide panel at the bottom of
the screen, VERY QUICKLY move your mouse down and
up. The result that I keep running into (by
accident) is that the auto-hide panel appears, and
never disappears. You have to click on the panel
once and move your mouse away to get it to disappear.
2.
3.

Actual Results:
An auto-hide panel appears but stays on the
screen, even though the mouse is far away.

Expected Results:
The auto-hide panel should appear, then after the
normal time, disappear once again.

How often does this happen?
So many times a day that it is unnerving. I know,
it is just probably the way I work the mouse.

Additional Information:
Email jmccorm@yahoo.com if you have any questions
but PLEASE PLEASE give this serious attention.
This really really makes using GNOME a pain!
