Description Damien Carbery 2003-12-18 15:33:55 UTC
The changes to intltool.m4 on Dec 16 is breaking the compilation of
multiple other modules, e.g. gnome-mime-data.
The error in gnome-mime-data says "*** No rule to make target
'gnome-vfs.keys', needed by 'all-am'.

I took the intltool source from 'Wed Dec 17 01:54:00 GMT 2003' and copied
in intltool.m4 from 24 hours prior and gnome-mime-data builds fine.

There has been some changes since this. Can you test with cvs. If it
still doesn't work - can you try debugging?

Comment 2 Damien Carbery 2004-01-05 11:30:26 UTC
Latest version of intltool.m4 (1.65) still breaks gnome-mime-data.
I reverted to 1.61 on my system and gnome-mime-data builds. Another
engineer here thinks ${ac_aux_dir} is not being set.

please attach output showing the problem. without output it's
impossible to figure out what is wrong and what to fix.
Comment 5 Damien Carbery 2004-01-06 11:03:02 UTC
I removed my local patch that reverted intltool.m4 to r1.61 and
rebuilt intltool and gnome-mime-data (where the issue manifests
itself) with today's CVS HEAD.
It all worked fine.
I noticed in http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=129773 that
changes were made.
Comment 6 Kenneth Rohde Christiansen 2004-01-06 15:58:44 UTC
Closing since it works for you now.
