GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 129604
[PATCH] cdparanoia support for gnome-cd
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Hi, this patch adds cdparanoia support to gnome-cd. It is not perfect, but works quite well for me. It allows me to play audio CDs on my iBook laptop, which lacks a CD-lineout to soundcard-linein connection. Everything works but the volume control, which is settable via the gnome-mixer. HTH, Colin

I forgot to say that the autoconf stuff got me nervous, so detection of cdparanoia is broken. You have to --enable-paranoia and have paranoia headers and libs in standard locations.
Adding PATCH and bugsquad keywords and setting priority to high because there's a patch.

Colin: what version of gnome-cd is this against, BTW?
I suggest we mark this bug as a duplicate of 86331 since it has a GStreamer based patch for the same fix. Any objections?
This is driving me crazy. I'm using 51152 (because it's simply the first bug of this kind) to dup all the others against. It contains the GStreamer/cdparanoia patches, also. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 51152 ***
