Description Antoine Pitrou 2003-12-12 18:55:19 UTC
Being fed up with gftp's bugs, I try to use Nautilus for FTP access... It
all works well for anonymous access, but not if the server asks for a
password. For example if I type ftp://antoine@host.net/, a dialog box pops
up stating that the connection has failed. Of course if I type
ftp://antoine:password@host.net/, it works (but is not desirable). There
should be a dialog box that asks for the password...

There is such a dialog with sftp! Strange that this works so inconsistently.

Thanks for the report, but this is actually a gnome-vfs issue. It's being worked
on in bug 114572.
