Description of the crash:
When I try to copy in mc from one directory to another with long path
(smth like from ~/Documents/O'Reilly/www.oreilly.com/linuxsvrhack to
~/Documents/O'Reilly/examples.oreilly.com/linuxsvrhack/) and more then
one tab is opened in gnome-terminal, gnome-teminal crashes with buggy
symbols in it's
window title.
So, I need to start xterm and do copying files in such dir in it.

Steps to reproduce the crash:
1. Start gnome-terminal with locale other then en_US (I use uk_UA)
2. Open some tabs (I opened 3, crashes each time)
3. In one tab start mc
4. In one mc panel cd to dir with long path
5. In other mc panel cd to dir with long path
6. Try to copy smth from one mc panel to other, or view file (F3) and
exit from viewer
7. gnome-terminal crashes

Expected Results:

I use gentoo with ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86", gnome-terminal-2.4.2, uname
