GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 127373
too many login prompts in smb browsing using nautilus
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
i built and nautilus and gnome-vfs-extras from cvs HEAD. when i inovke /opt/gnome2/bin/nautilus smb: nautilus window comes and also a login prompt comes asking saying i have to enter credentials to view smb://CAT. but i dont' see any such workgroup in my network. i canceled the login prompt and nautilus window displays somw work groups. Double click on a workgroup, nautilus tries to disaply some computers present in that workgroup. Again i was prompted to enter credentails to view a particular machine in the list. But i was not trying to view that machine and i have not clicked on it. Now i clicked on computer to see smb shares, entered credetnails in the login dailog . i could see some shared folders of that computer. but i could not see the folder contents. when ever i click on the folder login prompt comes up. Finally i could not see anything under that folders with or without entering credentials.
