Suggestion for better string for NSS
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
In embed/mozilla/GtkNSSDialogs.cpp:336 there is the string "Your browser was unable to trust %s." I found this difficult to translate, and I think the average user would find it a bit difficult to understand - what has the browser's personality to do with anything? What about: "It was not possible to automatically establish a trust relationship with %s." Or something like that. My Danish is better than my English. But you get the idea.
The problem is trying to keep the text size small, and the concept of a "trust relationship" is almost certainly going to be lost to the user. Maybe "It was not possible to automatically trust %s." may be better. CC'ing myself as this is shared galeon/epiphany code.
Yes, that is definitely much better than what it says now, IMHO.
marco, is the suggestion in comment 1 ok with you?
