Description incuo 2003-11-17 20:33:52 UTC
Columns should be displayed such that a horizontal scroll would be
unnecessary (RhythmBox does it! : http://www.rhythmbox.org/).
Comment 1 Damien Sandras 2003-11-18 07:04:58 UTC
The colums are auto-sized to the size of entries. If I suppress the
horizontal scroll, you won't be able to read the full name of users
and to see all fields. That won't be better, that will be worse.
Comment 2 incuo 2003-11-18 07:17:09 UTC
What about _extremely long_ "names"? Like the ones about gnomemeeting
and firewalls?

Even with a maximised window, you cannot see all columns! There
should be at least a limit, IMHO.

Thanks!
Comment 3 Damien Sandras 2003-11-18 10:17:11 UTC
I can limit the size, yes, but it will always be impossible to see all
columns without scrolling. I can not remove scrolling.
Any suggestion or patch?
Comment 4 incuo 2003-11-18 10:39:52 UTC
I have a screenshot of what I'd "suggest". Où peux-je vous l'envoyer ?

Also, thanks for taking into account users' suggestions (as opposed to
what other projects do, whom I prefer not to do any publicité here)...

:)

Notice that CVS presents the most important information first, scrolling is only
needed if you want to see "more".
