Description Jonathan Marc Bearak 2003-11-13 01:00:52 UTC
Description of Problem:
I am using Metacity in Gnome 2.4 (as installed by
Fedora Core). Using the focus follows mouse
setting, I cannot get a cursor inside of the Gnome
panel. For example, I use the Dictionary applet.
This applet will not function properly as a
result of the focus follows mouse setting. (I
think this is related to the fact that I don't see
the selection rectange around icons after
clicking, or, for example, the weather applet.)

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Choose "select windows when the mouse moves
over them" in "Window Preferences" dialog.
2. Click inside of textbox in Dictionary panel applet.

Actual Results:
I cannot type anything into textbox.

Expected Results:
I should be able to type.

How often does this happen?
100% of the time.
