Description Gregory Merchan 2003-11-11 01:08:01 UTC
I believe there's a bug report about the window menu becoming unwieldly
when the number of workspaces is large. This is a suggestion for a
replacement.

Alt+F7 (also Alt+Space M) enters the keyboard move mode. This seems
a natural place to allow the window to be moved to another workspace
via the keyboard. Because no other action can take place while in
this mode, multiple keys may be assigned to transport the window.
The function keys (or the number keys) can be used to move to
workspaces 1-12 (or 1-9). PageUp and PageDown can move to the previous
and the next workspace, respectively. Home and End to the first and last,
respectively. And so forth.

A window like the Alt+Tab window could indicate what's allowed how.

Seems like an interesting idea.
