Description Sebastien Bacher 2003-11-08 11:22:04 UTC
This bug was originally reported in the Debian BTS:
http://bugs.debian.org/217467

"When you do the following:
1 have some application windows open on your desktop
2 press `Show desktop`, the windows are now hidden as expected
3 open a new application window. e.g. open your home dir from the desktop
4 press `Show desktop`, the just created window is now hidden
5 press `Show desktop`, only the last hidden window is restored

I expected that in step 4 my original windows were restored (seeing
  `show desktop as a toggle)..

If that is not the way to see that applet, all the windows should be
  restored in step 5.

Currently the only way to restore the original windows is via the
  windows list/menu"

we've gone round and round on this before. Although I'm not terribly
convinced the current behavior is the best behavior.
