GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 126260
Gstreamer plays files too fast [i810 sound card]
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Gstreamer seems to be playing mp3 files at a higher frequency. XMMS doesn't seem to have this issue with the same files. My sound card is Intel Corp. 82801CA/CAM AC'97. Hers is the output of /var/log/messages when I insert the i810_module Nov 5 17:11:25 localhost kernel: i810: Intel ICH3 found at IO 0xcdc0 and 0xce00, MEM 0x0000 and 0x0000, IRQ 11 Nov 5 17:11:25 localhost kernel: i810_audio: Audio Controller supports 6 channels. Nov 5 17:11:25 localhost kernel: i810_audio: Defaulting to base 2 channel mode. Nov 5 17:11:25 localhost kernel: i810_audio: Resetting connection 0 Nov 5 17:11:25 localhost kernel: ac97_codec: AC97 Audio codec, id: YMH3 (Unknown) Nov 5 17:11:25 localhost kernel: i810_audio: only 48Khz playback available. Nov 5 17:11:25 localhost kernel: i810_audio: AC'97 codec 0 supports AMAP, total channels = 2
Use 'audioscale frequency=48000 ! osssink' instead of just osssink.
